Like my Mom always told me, "Getting old is not for sissies." Have you walked in a room and forgotten what you came in for? Well, I forget the room I was going to, never mind what I was going after.

Unfortunately all this has really effected my confidence- I have always considered myself organized, showing up early to functions never late or not at all! In my job search I approach the interview like I always have, confident and self assure. But inside I question if I will be able to perform the functions as the prospective employer expects.
But I am working to give this over to God, find the humor in my craziness and trust God will provide me with the right employer that will show me grace.
Besides, I was reminded this weekend that Mary & Joseph lost Jesus. Yes they lost Jesus!
When His parents left for home, Jesus stayed in Jerusalem, but Joseph and Mary were not aware. Luke 2:43
They looked for days....can you imagine the conversation that evoked? “I thought you had him.” “Well, I thought you had him, oh heaven help us, what will God say? We’ve lost the savior of the world!”
Of course he was back at the temple teaching; teaching in his Father’s house.
After three days of separation, they finally found Him—sitting among a group of religious teachers in the temple—asking them questions, listening to their answers. Luke 2:46
We can be like Mary & Joseph, getting on with our busy life and then realize that something is missing. Fortunately for us we don't have to go searching for days, Jesus is always with us.
Though I have never misplaced a child, I admittedly lose most everything else these days. But I figure I am in good company with Mary & Joseph, after all God trusted them and they lost Jesus.
